Sorry to Disappoint
My regular readers (Laughter.) will note that I recently added a tracker to the blog. This is not a private tracker, anyone can go look at all the statistics. (Click below "you are being watched by" at the right to see for yourself. Thanks to Karla who brought the possibility to my attention.)
Disclaimer: In case you are one of the people (from Georgia, Florida, or even Mogadishu in Somalia) who searched "nuda" or, even better, "hot and nuda," then please note that the blog title is in Czech. That's not English. Nuda means "bored" (not, ahem, "nude"). Just don't want anyone to be confused. (They obviously weren't since the visits lasted about 0 minutes total.)
In other news, Donna Buchanan's book Performing Democracy: Bulgarian Music and Musicians in Transition is to be released soon by University of Chicago Press (part of the Chicago Studies in Ethnomusicology series). How exciting.

A graduate student in music and anthropology writing a dissertation about music in Moravia, the eastern third of the Czech Republic. At some point, the Czech Republic's "second city" (that would be Brno) captured my attention, and I've since been blogging about events, arts, music, and other stuff—basically whatever interests me in and around the cityscape. I'm not living in Brno now, but I keep up with the cultural pulse from afar as best I can.

I see we recently missed a Bulgarian ethnomusicology event here (I'm not sure how I failed to notice the sign in any of my previous ventures into the vending area of the Národní knihovna, since what else is there to do while drinking coffee but look at the posters?). As for the 0 minutes, that's where Site Meter fails. If someone only looks at one "page" (I'm not sure how they figure that), the time shows as 0 even if they spent all day.
